OK, there is TRWest and strpix. I haven't used them yet. I use them to point out that someone knows the format of the wad files. At least enough to pick out objects and modify them. So, what is known about the format? Is there some info somewhere? I'm thinking of doing a program to edit the objects. Something simple just for this purpose. It would be free, of course. I have seen Rhino referenced. I checked their website and it was over $300. But I have noticed people mention that the objects are in DXF format. I just downloaded that file format and will be studying it. Now I just need to be able to extract objects from a wad and put them back again. Like a complete package. Anyone have some info? IP: Logged |
