OK what I`ve done is modify the original Coastal WAS file by adding some objects from other levels using TRWest. This has created a whole new wad which I`ve renamed following the notes in the editor manual.

My question is what the heck do I do to the scripts to get the thing to work? I`ve renamed the entire wad to a new name and all the ten relevant wad files. If I try loading this new level the game fails to load. I suspect I have to do something with the scripts. I`ve renamed the coastal level in the scripts and changed the DATA line etc.

Anyone any idea? HELP!!!

Hey Will

Sometimes it easier to stick with the coastal name and overwrite it and as strpix says use WADFixer when you need to go back. Stick to the coastal block if that is nearer than anything else to your level particularly with reference to the puzzle pieces used.

If you want you can mail me the scripts and I'll have a look.

Thanks chaps!

I`ll give Wadfixer a go and try going back to the coastal name.

OK WADFixer aint gonna help me. But I have it working now. I renamed the files back to coastal and it still crashed. Then it dawned on me that I`d pulled objects from the library and Gaurdian WAS`s and didn`t have those files in the same directory. So I copied the whole WADS folder over and it worked fine under the coastal name. I`ll try again with my new name later.

Ta though. At least I know now how to put a custom wad project together.
