TombRaider--- best *genre*,locations,
"enemies", puzzles, best overall
"background" soundtrack(subtle,"creepy"). best use of dynamic "lighting & shadows" in a TR game series. best " organic"/original room designs.. TR3(a close 2nd place) best *in-game*
Lara model/avatar.
best "outdoors" level designs of
any of the series(IMHO only)& meanest
arsenal of weapons(yay!).widest variety
of "sky" objects, animated textures, weapons,
models,"props" & textures of any of the games(period!) TR2(3rd place) best TR "combat" game of the
series. best vehicles. best use of level design for *using these vehicles* (bravo!)
(TR2 Gold is great at this too-)
& also:
best pre-game hype of; advertising the game
with a deluge of CAD images of:
Lara wearing revealing outfits. but, it's like comparing "apples 2
oranges"; I like 'em all---

TR1: Haven't played it yet.
TR2: Excellent atmosphere and design. I've just liked it.
TR3: Most variable and beautiful locations and besides, it's the first TR I played since I have the 'puter.
TR4: Excellent puzzles and sound. Annoying Egypt.
TR5: Ahhh, my favourite. Best puzzles, best level design, more depth.
TR golds: -TR2 Gold: Too short.
-TR3 Gold:Haven't played it yet. The same goes for TR1 Gold.
TR NextGen: We'll see, if it'll be as they say it'll be, it'll be my MOST favourite...  ------------------

TR3 was the best, it had the most difficult levels and its setting was so vast that the destinations around the globe it could please anyone's taste, also I liked TRC even though it was the easiest to beat, and only had a fraction of the levels previous tome raider games had I still enjoyed Black Isle because it covered new tomb raider grounds cause it was her first time exploring an eerie Ireland setting and also the VCI levels were great, especially Escape With the Iris.[This message has been edited by Apparition (edited 06-03-2001).] IP: Logged |

Well since you wany 25 replies I will reply.
I know a lot of people don't think its the best but I really love TR4. I think it has everything that Tomb Raider is about in it. Personaly I don't like any high tech level or a city or something like that. I think TR4 is the best because it is TOMB RAIDING.There my two cents IP: Logged |

TR1 and TR3 definitely. But OK, that's my parade:TR1 has an unrepeated atmosphere
TR2 is nothing new but sky and ponytail
TR3 is great
TR4 is boring
TR5 is great but too short
