I have successfully extracted dxf files using Strpix3, the problem is that i want to extract the seth model but it is broken into several parts. Is there an easy way to view the whole model, or do i have to work it out for myself and export each body part seperately?

to the best of my knowledge, each part must be exported individually and imported individually in/out of the wad. the nice thing about AutoCAD (maybe it is a feature of other 3d packages also?) is that you can put all the pieces together in autocad, and when you are done, select only part of it for export. if you're not sure how to do this, email or post.

Yeah, I was expecting to have to do that. Is there a way to find out which objects are part of the Seth model. It is a bit frustrating trying to find all the parts using Strpix. I want to construct the whole figure and load it into Poser4 and Bryce. Do you think it can be done?

Hey, I have Poser3. Think it will handle these too? I haven't really used it yet.

OF COURSE I think it can be done! trial and error, maybe...

try this:
* export each of the parts that you KNOW to be Seth & save them....
* export something basic like the flare
* import the flare into each of the Seth meshes that you found.
* open a level using that wad and look at Seth; he should look like a collection of flares except for the parts you missed... NOW the parts you missed will become more obvious in STRPIX3!

Good Luck!

Yes you can link all the parts... but I think you are going to re-import them after the changings, aren't you? the fact is that when you reimport them, they MUST be in the same IDEAL VIRTUAL position in order the skeletonal animation works properly..... so, if you link and change their position, you will be framed in the new problem to re-position them.
I suggest to work singularly with them trying to understand how they can appear together, and then simply check them often in the game.

Thanks for the ideas. I don't plan on importing the objects back into the game so there is no probs with that part. Its mainly so i can make some cool pics of seth, and maybe some fmv type stuff.
