Sure, this is possible - just play some of Will Gell's Levels and you will see Check the manual where it describes the objects in the WADs. Typically you have to put a value in seconds into the Timer field of the OCB of the respective object, I think, and then simply test and play around with it. I have only used it once, but I am sure there are loads of experts out here who can give you more detail. As for trapdoors, I think it should also work, but not sure... ------------------ HAPPY RAIDING! Michael. IP: Logged |

Timed doors are quite easy to achieve. One word of warning though, some switches do not reset after you use them once. Here is the simple way to achieve a timed door. Firstly, position a door. Click on the door and then select the square on which you want Lara to trigger the door to open. Next click on the purple button on the left hand side of the main window to set the trigger. Then click the text area that is alongside the purple button. A set trigger type box will open. As we are only using the square as a trigger and not using a switch at this point, just type in the amount of time in the 'timer' field, (positive number for how long you want the door to stay open for and a negative number for how long you want the door to stay shut for before it opens). This will then cause the door to open for the said amount of time. If you wish to use a switch with this however, you must first check that the switch you are using does in fact reset itself after the operation. The only switch that I know that seems to reset itself, is the pull up/down switch (switch type 01 from the Library wad) unless anybody else knows different.I hope this gets you started at least and if you could please excuse me, I am due for lubrication maintenance. ------------------ IP: Logged |
