I seem to be having some troubles with TR WEST. Most likely my own ineptitude, but... I'm starting with the "starter wad" from DaleR and trying to add an enemy dude. I load a reference file and select the stuff I want to insert. To this point all seems to be working fine; however, from this point on, when I try to save the thing, I receive an error message...The usual illegal operation and will be shut down stuff.(invalid page fault in TR WEST...) What am I missing? please help me!------------------ IF YOU NEVER GROW UP, YOU'LL NEVER GROW OLD! IP: Logged |

Most likely it's one of the "dependencies" involved with objects you're adding... It can be a pain sometimes to find out what's missing... Sometimes objects required by another object aren't the least bit related, as when DOOR_TYPE1 is required for a sixshooter! Let me know if I can be of further assistance. IP: Logged |

I know your problem, when you save your wad you have to type the three letter ext. at the end of the wads filenameIP: Logged |

a couple of things to note, save your wad as .was also make sure you have v2.0. this will give you warnings about the anim dependencies Dale spoke of when you try to save. it will also tell you what your missing. -rob [This message has been edited by robbase (edited 06-02-2001).] IP: Logged |
