Although the Editor does have a few shortcomings, It was never meant to be anything but a toy. The true strength of anything that is created with the Editor comes directly from those creative sorts who will continue to push the boundries of custom level creation beyond its natural limits.------------------ [This message has been edited by Data (edited 06-04-2001).] IP: Logged |

It's the best thing that I have ever seen on a PC! If it weren't for the level editor, I'd never have connected with you all!!! I LOVE that thing!!! It has shown the that we, as gamers, don't have to settle for s**t like the THPS2 park editor, or even "The Sims"! Core may be a bunch of dos-impared retards, but they at least have done the impossible, and released their level utilities for Lara-worshipers like me, you, and everybody here (well, besides conehead139 anyway). So, what I'm saying here, is that i like the thing. It may have billions of billions of problems, but at least we have it. Core, I love you and I hate you. As time goes by we will become less limited with what we can do with the editor. We have proof, just compare all of the things we have now with what we had in November.IP: Logged |

DATA, Well said indeed! DUDE, Ditto,(except the conehead part) it's time to let by-gones be by-gone I think.
As for me, I love the thing; those parts of it that I can use. This one FREE product has opened the door for about a dozen forums dedicated to it's use, a like number of new utilities, who knows how many websites, and I would guess several thousand player created levels! This one tool has brought hundreds of people from all over the world together for a common purpose. Tomb Raiding with Lara. Indiana Jones...Eat your heart out!

Hopefully it will be as big as Duke Nukem 3D was. They released it with a map editor, and there really are thousands of user made maps. Even though the game came out years ago, people are still making maps.IP: Logged |
