I was wondering, are you extremely limited as to how many wads you can place in a level, cause if someone makes tree wads I would like to make a forest and to do that it would take a whole lot of wads. So was wondering if it was possible to put an extreme amount of wads in a level...IP: Logged |

you can only use 1 wad per level, however you can merge many wads into 1 using TRwest. go to the tools page on my site and follow the link next to TRwest to Mike J's home page . down load V2.0 I presently have V1.0 available from my site. you will also find very good documentation for using the tool at the trwest home page. good luck -rob ------------------ Tools, Custom wads, Audio/Vidio, TRLE. I have TRWEST, I guess I just asked the question wrong. Okay I want to make a forest but to make a forest I need to use a lot of trees, I guess I should have said how many objects can you put in your level? Are you limited? Or does it matter, cause I know you can't put a lot of animated objects but I don't know if trees fall in that category. I'm still trying to figure out how to load a script file in TRWEST. I need to know how to turn a regular script file into a compatible file that will bring it up on TRWEST, if you can help me out there I'd appreciate it.IP: Logged |

I believe your limited to about 255 objects per level, but don't forget you can always split you level. -rob IP: Logged |

The limit is 245 according to the manual. You have to reserve 10 for animations.IP: Logged |

Why use a wad tree when you can make a real good one using just the editor blocks? (made with two rooms, one for the trunk and one for the long top) ------------------ BRM --------------------- [This message has been edited by Bullet ridden monkey (edited 06-03-2001).] IP: Logged |

Thats really an awesome tree, but I was thinking more like an oak or maple, that would be a good idea for a pine forest but I need something that has branches, you know something that reaches out and can be seen through. Anyone getting what I'm saying?IP: Logged |

I got an awsome idea for a tree while playing the jungle level in TR3. If you have the game play the level again and look at the trees. They use a block trunk with a root texture. Then for the leaves there are a series of stackd rooms with textures of leaves between them.IP: Logged |

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, they would have to be a lot smaller though, I'm sort of thinking about big trees like that and then trees with smaller trunks. Just your adverage everyday woods, like say for instance if anyone has ever played the first Blair Witch game, thats what I'm talking about. I think it would be cool to have Lara in a creepy New England forest after dark maybe with a few old, abandoned, forgot about family graveyards here and there. What do you think?IP: Logged |

yeah, that is a good idea but I'm thinking about things more like on the TRC title screen when it does a flyby over the field in front of Lara's house the trees that look like that. not too big, not too small just right for a forest I think, do you?IP: Logged |
