I tried making a room with lots of ropes in it. When trying to play the map, it starts to load. Then you get that long pause, and finally the last little bit of the progress bar fills and the map is supposed to come up. Instead I end up at my desktop. This only happened after I added ropes to a room. So I started deleting ropes one at a time. When I got it down to 5 ropes in the room, it plays fine. Don't know if stacking ropes on the same block affects it. I'll try it and see. Anyone else run into this? Do you have the same problem with poles (I haven't tried it yet).

more than FIVE ropes in a room????? We can't save while we are on it.... so do we have to play the sequence every time?------------------ | |--->> psiko <<---| | IP: Logged |

Can't save? Sure, I save when hanging on ropes all the time...in case you do drop off immediately after saving, just reload the game you just saved and keep the action key pressed while loading...About the limit, no experience by myself but thinking of it I have never come across a room with more than 5 ropes in it, so maybe it is indeed a limit, like the 31 active flame triggers... ------------------ HAPPY RAIDING! I know you can do in that way.... but do you find it a good and elegant solution for a level that impose to you to save in that way?------------------ | |--->> psiko <<---| | IP: Logged |

I don't think 5 rope swings is that much. They don't all have to be from rope to rope, you could swing to a ledge. Anyway, this was for a sort of training room, like the test map with the LE. I'm making my own to test different capabilities, like how much energy you lose when dropping from different heights, how far a ball/rock rolls after rolling down a different degree of slope, how much water you need to survive a fall, how much space you need to jump from one climbing surface to another, and alot more. Just want to test the limits of the game. The rope room was to see how far you can jump off the rope, and how far apart the ropes can be and you can still catch them. Oh well, guess I'll need more than one room.IP: Logged |
