The problem i'm having is that in the right hand window, i can display meshes as wireframe, but when i change to solid or textured, the mesh dissapears, therefore i'm not able to modify any textures on the meshes.I understand that there can be problems with open gl, so i've put the opengl32.dll + glu32.dll files in the strpix3 folder but it doesn't have any effect. I,ve also set my resolution to 800X600,still no change. I have a voodoo3 2000 graphics card by the way,do yo think maybe this is the problem or am i barking up the wrong tree? Anyone got any ideas on this?....thanx. IP: Logged |

I had to deal with this prob the other day. Found out that I had problems except with the following config.High color 16 bit and 960X720--everything worked perfectly after I set my computer to this RESTARTED and tried strpix. Worked like a charm. IP: Logged |

Thanx but still no joy. Tried various resolutions, rebooted, still the same problem. I'll pursue it a bit further and see what happens.

try to download and install http://webdeploy.glsetup.com/webdeploy.121/glsetup.exe It detects your voodoo 3 2000 and then downloads the correct opengl drivers over the internet (so you need to have your internet connection open while installing). I have had many good experiences with it! But in order to let STRpix3 use the installed opengl drivers, you should delete the opengl files you placed in the strpix3 folder. IP: Logged |

I think that, if you DO NOT resolve your problem with the adding of some file someone else has suggested to you, you simply have to do THIS THING:click on the desktop with right key: go to properties/prestation and KEEP OFF EVERY HARDWARE ACCELERATION of your video card, so reboot you machine.... Then you can edit wads with strpix. When you want to use again you TRLeditor, you have to ripristinate the hardware acceleration and REBOOT AGAIN.... It is sad, but it is like I do... IP: Logged |

Hey Psiko thanx, your suggestion works. Bit of a pain having to switch between acceleration and non acceleration but at least i can edit wad objects now.

well, another suggestion: expecially if you have an ati, try some "strange" resolution for you monitor, like 1152x864.... sometimes can work.....IP: Logged |

Do a search on STRPIX!!! I got the advice of setting display to 24bit color. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Display | Settings tab. I had the same problems you describe. I have a voodoo card (first generation) and it works great now that I have set to 24bit. Good Luck! ------------------ How can I be dead already? IP: Logged |
