I know what you were saying about the whole pushing levers and avoiding traps thing gettin kind of old. But to be honest, that's not why I play TR. I've played every TR title and have concured them all to their fulest. But I still from time to time pop in all of them and still play, not because of the puzzles.... but becouse of the levels. I love the levels because I know them. Levels like Venice, Opera house, Jungle, Area 51, Natia's Minds, THE DECK!!! ooo. My point is that I'll never get tired of these levels because to me the're just like my favorite places to visit in real life. That's why I play. Then again, I never thought the puzzles were all that chalenging any ways.IP: Logged |

I agree; all of the levels that you've mentioned have "re-playability" to them because they are such beautifuly done environments --- the use of room modeling, textures & lighting/shadows creates this illusion. exploration is 75% of TombRaider; if you don't have it in your level; it's Not going to fly... puzzle-based or *fighter* levels that lack the good looks of an interesting location, are frankly; "boring".once you've learned the trick, there's not much left of the level, is there? that is why the relatively "puzzle-less" Lara's Mansion levels always are a favorite. They're nice places to visit, who cares if they're not challenging? IP: Logged | |
