Ok, guys and gals, I'm sure that this is really simple but how do I put Lara out when she catches light? I've put a flame emitter on a square so she catches light and a water room further on for her to jump into. But when in the water (even though it's deep enough for her to swim in) she carries on burning! Am I missing something? Cheers, Em xxIP: Logged |

The amount of time that passes when Lara first catches fire to when she actually dies from it is very small. You would have to have the water very close i.e. the very next square in order to extinguish the flames before she burns.

Yeah I know that, and the water is close enough, but she continues to burn whilst in the water. I mean you can actually still see the flames on her!IP: Logged |

I've seen this happen before. It took several seconds for the flame to go out. It also had to be deep enough to swim in.IP: Logged |

I don't know what the problem was, but it's sorted now. All I did was take the flam out of the level and put it back in again, and now she goes out when she jumps in the water. Oh well, just one the editor's crappier sides I suppose! Cheers for your help tho, Em xxIP: Logged |

The problem is that u can't use flame emitter and get her to stop burning, but u can use flame emitter 2-3 and unlight her.IP: Logged |

Wrong! You can use flame emitter and put her out (as I have now discovered) But flame emitter 2 doesn't set her alight (unless you use the death square, in which case she will die instantly)IP: Logged |

tomb_raider_nut is right Emma, I've had that problem myself when I used FLAME_EMITTER by mistake When Lara triggers the FLAME_EMITTER, she instantly catches fire and I couldn't put it out by jumping in water------------------ Tomb Raider - Ancient Legends levels (2), walkthroughs, tutorials, wallpapers and other TR goodies on driber.cjb.net !!! new: preview of the OBJECTS ARCHIVE !!! Well then, my Level Editor must be retarded because I have put a flame emitter (not 2 or 3 just flame emitter) in my level and set her alight, and jumped in some water and she's fine! Explain that?IP: Logged |
