There I was, buzy transfering all the relevent files over to the cd writer and then formating my hard drive to be more compatable with the new motherboard/processor bios etc. Then copying the files back to the hard drive after installing the level editor, managed to get everything working, did a little bit more on the level, saved it and then went to output the wad......nothing!! it didn't want to out the wad...oh fiddle sticks I said (not quite true, but this is a family forum)....starting to think, lost the lot, what am I gonna do.............then, a spark of inspiration. Had a look at the properties after remembering that when you back up files, they change to 'read only'. Sure enough there it was. So I changed all the files by removing the 'read only' check, and then tried to output the wad once more................Whooooppppeeeeeee! (I no doubt guess you realised that it worked.Just another day in the life of a level creator. The moral of this story is DON'T FAFF ABOUT WITH YOUR SYSTEM HALF WAY THROUGH A LEVEL!!!

Heh! Heh! Yeah I been there mate! Lost my entire tutorial level by overwriting saves. Then I discovered how unstable the editor is! CRASH! Lost the whole thing! Started again from the end and that became "The Trench"The read only thing has caught me out many times with audio. I`ve formatted 4 times in the past two years. Fun! Getting a new motherboard myself soon and I`m not looking forward to it much as I suspected I might have format. AGAIN!!! Bleagh! ------------------ Will Gell We are the music makers. I did the same thing, couldn't figure out why the it wouldn't build the new level. But good thing it's still there, I know what it's like to lose a project, happened to my port of venice level.------------------ Top 5 Favorite sayings: -Never give-up! unless the situation is hopeless:) -The only thing certain in life is uncertainty! -You get what you pay for. -Nothing is impossible, it's just not likely to happen. -If it doesn't kill you, it can only make you stronger.
