Wooooooww!! I love the Tomb Raider Movie!! I have just come home from seeing it and I mean WWWOOOOWWW!!! It is the coolest film I have ever seen!! And I've seen a lot!! I think the lass that acts Lara is an absolutely brill actress, she got Lara's personality, appearance and everything down to a fine T!! Cool lady!! The story line is very interesting and has some fascinating twists i.e. her father symbolised through the flower to show that her father will always be with her and she will never be alone and the guy who lives in the trailer outside her house who seems to have an obsession with robotics - he is like the character "Zip" in the TRC VCI levels. I love all the fighting scenes; especially the big stone Shiva statue with the massive swords oh and I love the part where time stops and she turns the knife around to kill the git instead of her ex boyfriend; very sweet... and he was a real **** head killing Lara's Dad and all so it was really nice watching him die.
Oh and I like the bit where she was swinging on the giant rope in her house like a gymnast and tons of thugs broke into the house and she had a big fight!!!! That was cool!!! And I liked the ending when she wore a dress and the robotic freak took a picture!! What the heck I love the whole movie!!!!! What do you guys think? Oh and don't mention the lips cos they don't look big to me!! I just want to say thanx to everyone who made the movie because man you made my day!!! Good work!!!! I will buy the video as soon as it comes out!!

I also have just got home from watching it! I was lucky to get tickets to the advanced showing because it is officialy out tommorow (5th). I liked the movie as well but let us not spoil it for those less fortunate than ourselves (people who have not seen it). I do think she has big lips. In the game her dad looks different to the one in the film, in the game he has no moustasche and he has brown hair but, i suppose the makers can't find a perfect match. I must lie down now because i feel sick after eating so many sweets during the film and having a McDonalds after. I wonder if they will make another film?

When does her father show up in the game? Anyway, I'm glad they changed his name from Henshingly (or whatever) to Richard.

Why not post the entire script for the movie, then no-one will need to go and see it for themselves. Lara , you sound like you have never seen Angelina Jolie before. And you claim to have seen a lot of movies. From your post i get the impression that this was the first you have heard about the TR movie. And you call yourself a tombraider. Anyway thanks for spoiling it for those that haven't seen it.

Blacknile, when you see a thread called "Tomb Raider Movie - WOW" you can expect to find things in it about the film!! You shouldn't have read it if you haven't seen the film yet.

I got to see it yesterday aswell! (5th) I'm glad i booked my tickets for the first preview cuz it was PACKED!!!!

What's MacDonald's, and why did it make you sick after the movie.

To Blacknile: Yes I have seen a lot of movies and yes I know who Angelina Jolie is!!! Duh!!!! She was only the big star in "Gone in 60 Seconds" Who do you think I am!! I have been looking at info of the TR movie for a long time and when I saw the movie I thought it was very excellent (better than I thought it was going to be) and so I made some positive comments. What is your problem? Mostly everyone on the Eidos forums have just been saying bad things about the movie and I just wanted to be positive. Is that such a bad thing??!!! shezz.

Yeah, I saw it on the 22nd of June, and in my opinion, it's even better than "The Mummy"(or other movie). The cinema was always full, even in the last day, that didn't happen with any other movie.

I've just seen it, although when the baddy dies after that fight, didn't he get stabbed? How can he still fight? There were 20 people in the cinema today, I went at 4pm. It was alright, could have been better, in my opinion

k, i saw the tr movie and boy did that stink! let's face it, all movies that are made from video games all blow, so what's to say that this wouldn't. i execpted more. but since we've only seen lara in games, then i was execpting seeing lara in those game scenes, and she wasn't. and i don't think it was better than the mummy returns. yeah, sure but the mummy returns was all wrong historically and all in egyptian society, but it had a lot of action in it. even i can't remember reading about martial arts that come from asia in the egypt books, also we all final fantasy looks good, but it's gonna plop too. face it, video games should stay video games and not be movies.
this is just my opinion.

Well, I still haven't seen it yet.....too busy slogging away at Tower Bridge 2 cause I want to get it finished by the end of this month. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see it............it's just that I find it difficult to stop something once I get started.

OK NOW i've seen the movie. Not bad. AJ is a cutie and the effects were pretty good, too. Shame about the missing story line -- I really wish there had been one. The being stabbed and coming back was a little 'over the edge' for me... I thought pulling the knife out was the worst thing you could do... ? But I'm not an MD or anything. All in all, worth the couple of bucks to see.

I liked the movie, but it let me down a lot. I had expected it to be better. I personally thought it was dumb as h*ll to rename her father Richard.

Also BN is not a prat, I do agree there are quite a few *large* spoilers in the original message.

Pwhirl: McDonald's is a really popular fastfood restaurant... they have 'em all over the world... I'm surprised you haven't heard of them (you are serious right?).

Ye but that guy had already seen the movie, so it wasn't a spoiler. I thought they did a v. gud job on the movie, as well as they could have been expected 2.

Yeah I did see / hear new things actually. The first time I went I watched all the actors and observed the sets a lot. When I went the second time I was listening to the music more and looking at the people in the background etc.
