Topic: TR Film, Bits They Cut Out....

Is it just me or did they cut out the ever-so-famous bit in the trailer where Powwel (I think that's his name) is talking to Lara and they say:
Powwel: "We could be partners"
Lara: "But you might try to kill me..."
Powwel: "I won't kill you"
Lara: "I said you'd try!"
I am absolutley POSITIVE i never heard them say that in the film!!! I'm definately getting the DVD from America cos of all the stuff they (supposedly) cut out. PLus i'll get it earlier instead of waiting for the release over here  -------------

There was going to be a whole big scene under water where Lara fights eels as well. ------------------

No it wasn't in the movie 
And a bit where in the tunnel with the huskies, there was supposed to be a fight or something but there never was . I'm getting a german DVD cause nothing's cut!------------------

Ahem. It is not in the "American version." I doubt there even IS such a thing.That's one thing you can count on from a Yank... EGO and lots of it. ------------------

If you saw the making of documentry there was lots of stuff that wasn't in the film. It looked a lot better on TV than at the movies too. The special effects didn't look so dodgy on the small screen. IP: Logged |

Do you mean the making of on ITV? I watched that the other day. WHY OH WHY OH WHY do they ALWAYS have to have an American bloke with the DEEPEST voice EVER narrating it?!?!

Urm. didn't Americans start using that word firt? I dunno much about America, but aint there a little thing called the "New YANKee Stadium" ? :PAnd i've got NOTHING against Americans, or anyone else from any other country! All i said was why do all "Making of" docs. (and trailers) have to be narrated by VERY deep voiced Americans who emphasise (sp?) every last word in their sentences???? IP: Logged |

same here, I watched it a couple of days ago and I missed that part
it's a shame though, it was a very cool dialog!maybe it's just my memory, but I think we also missed that bit where AJ is over that bloke saying "This is where I start to have fun" anywayz, it sure was one @ss kicking movie!

Yep they missed it out. They also changed the bit in the trailer:Tech Geek: 'Time to save the universe again?'

Not weird, normal, well normal for Americans (dang, now I sound like a MSN commercial). For some reason alot of them just don't get that she's called Lara, and not Laura. They did it with Lara Weller as well (no pun intended). Every yank article I've found about her has her name spelled Laura. Funny enough, in FHM's article about her, she says: "I hate how the Americans keep calling me Laura!". Guess there's alot of dyslexic peeps over there... ------------------
