Sorry about that dude. I lost two months worth of my Titanic level so I can totally relate. Have you tried the .prj file on one of your mate's computers? It might be a problem with the software as opposed to that particular .prj file (just a desperate suggestion). Anyway I hope you get it sussed dude, good luck.

There is a very simply solution. Back up your projects like the manual says. When working with ****ty software like the level editor you have a choice. Back up your work regularly or lose it all. I have about 50 different saves for my Ishtah project. If something goes wrong you can go back a save.
Common sense really don't you think?

Well welcome to my world, my Venice level did the same thing and I was almost done, I started again and finished it but the second is never as good as the first.

EVIL error is caused by object/light mismaps.
It happens when I delete rooms with objects still in them.
Delete everything before deleting the room.
Also make sure when you bound a room
you don't send objects out to never never land and miss them to.

When you cause an evil error it will keep saving with your project and will not warn you until you reload the TRLE system.
Make sure every half day you do that.
Also any major changes, save another PRJ.

I have been screwed a few times because of this major bug!!

Please send me the PRJ and I will try to retrieve it for you.

maybe you moved texture tga file or the wad. I suggest for the name of your PRJ to write the name of the custom TGA (placing it in the EXTRA TEXTURE folder), and the name of the personal WAD (placing it in the GRAPHICS\WAD folder).

For example: MyLevel-texture3-(mycitywad)-X.prj

where X is a NUMBER which tells you the version of the project.

IN THIS WAY, if something happens to those files, you can at least rescue the prj naming a tga and a wad like those one.

It would be nice to know what the errors are.

I was able to help someone else save a project once, maybe I can save yours.

I remembered that I had once that message... it was when I created a too large TGA file: you can put in it only 256 textures of 64*64 pixels in a file which assembles them in order they occupy less dimensions as possible...

Ekim, I might be able to save your project. You might lose the last room or 2, but I've done this before, so maybe I can fix it.
