The dogs from TR3 work fine (Aldywch etc.)
They chase you and bite you.

Most other custom objects just run around but won't attack. You can import the REX and other monsters and they all come after you like they are your pets.

The Aussie guards work fine under TROOPS.
They will fight and protect.

If you put the baddie shooters in the SAS slot
they attack you but there is an animation error.

The birds will fly about and follow you but not bite.

Barbed wire works well (in the spikes slot).

Anyone had any better luck with the custom moveable objects??

I have the same problem with the shark from TR2. I think its animation problems.

Did you get them to do any damage to Lara? I can get them to chase and bit at her, but they don't do any damage and they jump through her.

Isn't it the matter of proper slot in the game and using the right AI..?

Or maybe it could be worth checking with Popov'TRViewer how many animations (and their numbers) each object has? If TR3 dog has got exactly the same number of animations as TR4 dog - it works. If the baddie shooter has one animation less than TR4 SAS - it could not work and error appears...

Get the dog from Aldwhych using the
the latest version of TRWAD and stick it in the DOG slot. It is the best looking one anyway.

I haven't tested the DOG from WILLARDS LAIR or
the Snow dogs yet.

Putting Lions and tigers in that slot doesn't work though.

I'm sorry, I still can't get it to work and I tried them all! Could you tell me the exact procedure you used to get it to work? What WAD you put him in, what file from TR3 you toook him from, and anything else you may have done to get him to work?

hmm...

The dog is from the TR3 Aldywch.

I have no idea what WAD I put it in.
Because mine are all hacked to pieces but I think I started with CITY or the online ALDWYCH wad.

i dunno if this have anything to do with your post, but your post said how to make custom objects to attack, well, i have made custom enemies like my new security guard! check out my post about "trc security guard"!

Doh! Sorry, I know what the problem was now. I didn't have the current version of TR2WAD! It works now! Sorry to bother with this...

BTW, I got the Antarctica dog to work, but haven't tried the rest yet as this is the one I was after.

All objects have many animations (The TR3 gun guards something like 34) with states in it. To make it work, the states most be changed. For example, state 11 can be dying, and 1 standing (I'm not sure). The SAS starts with some walking animations. The TR3 gun guard has them somewhere else. I have a program to change the stated and order, but it doesn't work fine. I'm trying to remap all states from the guards to the TR4 ones.
