All you guys who gather custom levels on your sites... Do you have any level counter? What number did it hit on your site after 9 months of using the Level Editor?

Who's got the most of them on his/her site?

depends on what you count

I am at 335 now with 324 with at least one rating & review; Henk has an even higher count, but includes updates and new releases of levels as well...I think Neil, trc and pwhirl still have some catching up to do...

335 you've said...I have to admitt I'm a bit disappointed for I expected it could be about 500 levels or so without updates and demos which doesn't count for me.

But even those 335 levels is enough for one player to play everyday for two years, hehehe.

I am quite sure we will get to 500 anytime soon as the community is still building and I know 2-3 people who seem to have played all the available levels so far with Sash (Aqua Stylish) being the top reviewer for my site having sent in more than 200 by now...

How about yourself - gonna start playing them? - and if so, will you provide reviews for my site?

i know my reply has little to do with this post, but my site will HOPEFULLY be a place where people can submit their wads for the site to host, like tr2 or tr3 or any trc wads! i hope to be the center for wads in the future :-) right now, only one submission :-( but the site's only less than 2 weeks old, it's getting there........

Hi...

It is correct what Michael said. My counter is standing on 425 TR4 levels. But it includes updates and demos. Some levels are different with a update,so you have almost 2 levels, but some have just removed some ugly bugs. It is just how you count. I have downloaded every single level, update or demo, so I count the downloads.
For TR1 levels my count is 10. For the TR2 custom levels my count stands on 16, and for the TR3 levels the count is on 40. These are levels made with the 3D Level Editor made by Turbo Pascal. A Great Level Editor.

So You Can Play Every Game You Want.

Henk, I've always wondered about how to play the levels from TR1 - TR3, so can you enlighten me please?

Like do we need any special disc or download to play them!

Thanx

Hi Aqua Style.

To play the TR1 custom made levels, you must have the original TR1 game. If you download a level, renamed it to level1.phd (it is the first level to play.) You do need the original game, because the demos are using
another level, and you can't rename the custom made levels to that level. Also it need the cd for the music.

To play the TR2 custom made levels, you must have also the original TR2 game. If you download a TR2 level, rename it to: wall.tr2 (also the first level to play in the game)

To play the TR3 custom made levels you can use the Pacific Demo. It contains the Shore.tr2 level. If you download a TR3 level rename it to Shore.tr2 and replace it with the shore.tr2 from the demo. (Backup first!!!) By the TR3 level you don't need the Original Game CD. I you do have to CD, copy the CDaudio.wad to the audio directory in the TR3 directory and you will have music.

I you have future questions please e-mail me at:
laras_mansion@planet.nl

or visit http://home.acadia.net/userpages/vagrant/Vagrant.html

You can also visit my TR link site...There are more TR1,TR2,TR3
sites.

Thanx Henk!

By the way, I check your site every day (yes I am addicted to yours and Michael's sites)and I have already downloaded most of the TR3 levels, except for the Geocities levels *mumbles obsenities* which for some d@mn reason I have never been able to successfully enter to get them instead I get 'this page is not available' constantly *mumbles even harsher obscenities*!

So now I can go and play them....YAY

I've got 3 levels for the big project which are unfinished. But somehow the community seemed to have broken apart along with the trs.com/forums, I'll still continue on with my levels anyway.

And for my personal experiments and relaxes, I will make a level of my school. I will add customised objects if I can.
