Open TR2WAD and then choose a level. Lets say QUADCHAS. You'll get a list of all the objects in that level. You'll notice how they aren't TR4 objects. You need to;
1. Note where the objects you want are (I usually write them down with a number next to them, to represent their place in the WAD)
2. Figure out what you want the objects to be (Quad Bike: Motorcycle, Door Type1: er, Door Type1)
3. Save your WAD as quadchas (or whatever)
4. Open the WAD in TRWEST.
5. Find the objects using the number references.
6. Click the object you want in the WAD in one column and what you wnat it to replace in the other.
7. Click REPLACE.
8. Repeat this for all objects.

There area few things that can't be done;
Lara Meshes
A WAD without the old SMOKE EFFECTS, BULLETS etc.

There may be a shorter way, but I don't know it.

In the newest TR2WAD, there is a program called ObjectID.exe. You can see the object name with it as it will show up in TRWest (TR3 only).

I have extracted some objects from TR3 but the Horizen and the animating objects did not ertract with the wad.

Lara was able to walk through the objects I did get.

The latest TR2WAD version doesn't have collesion problems, but for some objects you need to set the collesion in roomedit (to stand on it). Or enable the collesion with wadmerger.

I have some objects I want. The object is under the pistols amo item slot . When I go into TRwest it doesn't let me replace it with any of the static object slots like the plant slots or the rock slots.

You can't replace moveables (M) with static objects (S) or vice versa.

Whatever that object is, you'll have to find a suitable "movable" slot, i.e. one whose number is preceded by an M. Unless your object has a specific function (door, key, puzzle item, switch, trap, whatever), simply put it in one of the ANIMATING slots. It will be insubstantial in game though, and chances are that it won't produce any sounds.

I could possibly give you another hint if you told me which object you have extracted from which wad, and whether you have started building a wad from scratch or whether you are modifying an existing wad.
