If you have OpenGL new graphic cards (which do not support DOS based TR1 or UB) and still want to play these classics accelerated – I have found in the Internet something useful. It’s program called Glidos which I‘ve found on Polish server at:
http://www.traider.pl/technik/dodatki/inne.asp http://www.traider.pl/technik/pliki/glidos_v1_2.exe

Program requires Windows 95/98/Me and does not work under Win2000 or NT. Glidos converts Glide to OpenGL.
The file is not zipped so you download it at your own risk.

I know, and I have used it.
Allthough it is terribly slow on my 'fast system (TNT2 32 MB, Athlon 1000 Mhz, 128 MB memory, 40 Gig HD,..), but it lloks very good.

It works for me. Even if my comp is not so fast but it works with Ati Rage 32MB. The game is a little bit slower than usual but it's got the LOOK. No single pixel anymore!

Tension, have you tried switching your tomb.exe to Voodoo accelerated patch? It's on the same site at: http://www.traider.pl/pvrush.zip
This patch works fine.

The picture is very impressive. That’s true.
But I have encountered a bug here. During the game I can see many items (like medipacks, bridge, skeleton, cogs etc.) through the walls. If for example there is a pack of shotgun shells in the room above – I can see it through the ceiling.
Weird thing!

Has anybody experienced it, too?
