Ok, Hi all I'm new at this so I'm sure that I'm going to feel really dumb with some of these questions so don't laugh. Anyway, here are the questions 1. I have one room done as far as i can tell but, i cant figure out how to make a new room. I have read the manual but, it just said that all i need to do is goto 2D mode and click select room button the pick the first empty room then, click ok. Well i do this then i get a room in the same spot as the other one and then i dan't have a clue what to do. 2. this is for Lara servari I'm so stuck in figuring out how to build cloths for lara. I read your website and i still don't get it please help! Thanks All -Indiretti- IP: Logged |

Hellowell, i can help you on both of these questions so here we go... #1 you are doing the correct thing, all you need to do now is click on that room until it is highlighted (red) and hold down the right mouse button on it and drag it where you want it, then you will see the first room, then hit the 2D button to go back to 3D mode and edit this new room. #2 You will need a tool called STRpix three and this tool allows you to edit clothes right on Lara's body. you can read about how to use the program on Lara S' site here http://members.tripod.co.uk/editor23/manual/strpix3.html you can get STRpix 3 here http://members.tripod.co.uk/editor23/manual/strpix3.html hope this helps you DUDEcroft IP: Logged |

OkFirst click file open select the wad file you want once open change the "Render Mode" to "Textured" scroll through the objects and find the one you wnat to re-texture. select the texture you want and then click where you want it, (on her leg, etc) and save and output the .TOM with the Level converter and see what the results look like in-game. I can't help with the room building biz, but maybe if you check out the "TIPS AND TRICKS" section at http://www.geocities.com/tblincoe2000/index.html You may find some useful info there Also, check out DaleR's site at http://www.productivewebpages.com/ and read the complete tutorial on creating outfits with the "Starter.WAD" Hope that helps a little. ------------------

I got the Door thing down and the room thing down but im having trouble with Triggers i don't understand how they work. Well i do but i'm not sure how to make them work. I have the pink squares placed for the triggers nut how do i activate them and make them work. here is an Example: I have a crossbow with ammo in a corner. When Lara picks it up i have 4 Skeletons wanting to jump up when she grabs the ammo or crossbow. Example#2: I placed a switch on the floor and i want it to open a door to the hallway leading to the next rooms. How do i activate these triggers ?? I have read the manual but it's not helping me its making me more, in the dark. What do i do? P.S. Thanks for all the help i have recived Thanks All -Indireti- IP: Logged |

I really think you need to go through the tutorial, the manual doesn't make much sense unless you follow it step by step. That said...Switch triggers are meant to be used with a real switch (most WADS have one). To trigger a door , for example, you click on the door to highlight it. And without clicking on any other object, click on the floor square you want to use to open the door. Click the pink square and voila, you've done it. The other trigger type are called "special" triggers and only one special is allowed per square, so sometime you have to get ingenious to trigger what you want. For a "pickup" trigger, you have to click on the item, click on the square its on and click pink. The click on the description you see below the pick button. You need to set the trigger type to "pickup". There's more ...you have to set the "object code number" .... d*mn now I can't remeber the number..... but its in the manual. This sets the object to be the object that triggers the event. Ok, I stopped and looked it up (page 83) you have to set the object to 64 (plus pickup type indicator number). For the skeletons. Select skeleton, select same square as pickup, select trigger (pink). Repeat for each skeleton. All triggers placed on the same square as a "pickup" (special) trigger MUST be normal triggers. BUT, they will be triggered by the pickup as well. The special triggers "spread" their meaning over all other triggers on the same square (that's why there can't be two specials!)
