Is your CD rom not autostarting? if this is the case, just go to 'my computer' and then double click on the drive letter that corresponds to the CD rom. If it isn't the case, please give me a little more info.------------------

When you unistalled the editor did you 'unistall' it or just delete it. Sometime the uninstall leaves things behind. Check to see if there are any folders left and delete them if there are. Then do a restart of windows. Now try to install the editor again.------------------

It was the script!!, i did what you said and i finally manged to install it again and it works fine! i know it was the script cos i did a little test i first backed up the original script, then put in the one i was working on just before i started having trouble and bingo it started not loading up again, so i put back in the originals and it works fine again, anyway thanks alot i owe you big time, oh i dont suppose you know how to add a new level in the sript without a repeat performance of what just happened to me do you?, thanks again!!!!IP: Logged |

I think the best way to add another level to the script is to copy one of the other levels (The block of information about the level that starts with the title) which corresponds to the wad you are using and then just change it accordingly. If you still have trouble with it ask the person from whom you got the wad if they can do the script for you.

I had the same problem the other day....... I had clicked on a file in the script folder and it had done "something"..... after that tomb4.exe would not run..... illegal operation etc.It turned out that English.dat and script.dat had deleted from the TRLE folder hence thee were no levels to run..... running the script script.txt command in dos solved it nicely though.........
