Ok, first I would like to see if the following is possible, then i'll tell you what i'm up to, yea?1. Make Lara's hair blow really fast (like in a strong wind) i.e. more powerfully than with the simple outdoor mode. 2. Allow Lara to fall more than 100 clicks (my editor always builds an invisible wall at the ledge) anybody game? ...please? I don't think it's possible because it does not written anywhere, that is, i mean, script.dat or english.dat. i think the tomb.exe is making all that... but, really, what I know?...

this is my level plan... I have bits and pieces of it done so far.Ok, Lara begins in a hangar. There is a flyby camera scene with some baddies "talking" (i just add a sound file) about going to this secret island where (insert interesting artifact here) is located. lara has to board the plane without being noticed and staying in the shadows - with some clever trigger placement, this is kinda cool - then with the aid of a flipmap and a flyby of a plane model in a different room (looks really good) and the plane is in flight. There is a problem in the cabin, and someone yells "she's gonna blow! we've got a minute at most - bail out! I'll try to slow down and get low enough!" The player then has to get out of the plane before flames start erupting from the back of the plane and start moving foreward. This is the part where I need high winds. The player has to crawl along the top of the fusalage (i've made an invisible ceiling so they have to crawl) and then jump off the plane into oblivion. You then land in water next to this island. After a harrowing trek through the jungle, the wreck of the plane is found, with one or two unlucky survivors. The player has to follow the instructions of the dying pilot to the artifact, find it, return, assemble the radio, and a rescue plane will come (same separate room model flyby with sound byte -"This is rescue 532 Copy, we read you, and are on our way") and that will be the end. This is my big project, and I have done quite a bit of it. Well, watcha think?

Sounds great! Just one thing, don't turn it into a rip-off of Jurassic park, as that is what I am currently doing right now  (j/k of course, feel free to do whatever you want) ------------------ IP: Logged |

well maybe just have gale force wind sound effects and have lara jump off the plane as far as she can go then level jump into the main level where she can fall that distance again.IP: Logged |

I changed the wad to city, and now she can fall off parts of the plane, but not the wings... go figure...I am using sideways waterfall textures to simulate clouds rushing past, and it looks good! This adds to the illusion, so I think that normal wind will actually be okay. IP: Logged |
