I think the answer would be no. I get a sneaking suspicion that as there wasn't going to be a Tombraider game this year because of work on TR6, that the Level editor was released so that we could create our own levels to keep us going and to maintain our interest in Tombraider/ Lara Croft. Am I a cynic or what......

I don't think the current editor will get an update,i don't think core/eidos are supporting the editor anymore, but maybe when TR6 is released , an editor will come with it.
If it does though we'll all have to go back to the drawing board, 'cos TR6 will have a completely new game engine which will mean a new editor.If this does happen it can only be a good thing, as i feel the current editor is getting a bit long in the tooth when you compare it to some of the other game editors out there. Does anyone out there use any of the other editors out there by the way?
I use unrealed for the unreal series and it's light years ahead of the TR editor, although i must admit the TR editor is a LOT of fun to use and hard to put down. IP: Logged |

people, I hope you are joking, as this level editor has so many things to be discovered still, at least for me, and even if it is NOT UPDATED, and out of fashion, it is still a very powerful tool combined to all the unofficial tools.------------------

which is the point why did they "restrict" what you can do with the editor / edit
when they are going with a new engine for tr6 anyway back in the days of doom, when quake come out

there is no change in earth that core/eidos will release another level editor because the have no profite in doing it!! they will release TR6 and it will be the new hit that is so diffrent from TR1,2,3,4,5 and the probably want to keep the "mistery of the TR6 levels design" to themselfs...------------------

Of course it was a ploy to keep us interested!! Its a pretty good ploy though, I mean, we are all enjoying it arent we??? They won't release TR5 editor, lets face it, but I do think they will release the TR6 editor, in about four years that is...------------------

They always do though dun they?? When everybody is tired of Tomb Raider, it'd be just like them to say 'And now you can finally have the TR6 editor!!'. Why can't they just give it us while were still interested?????------------------

I don't Think they will release a level editor for tomb raider 6. They gave us the level editor from TRC to create levels, they did this because CORE will not be using the level editor we all use. They have a new level editor and a more advanced.IP: Logged |

Are you hidin somit?? Spit it Sage, wot is it, or are you just being mystical??? Trust me, they will release TR6 editor, but only a couple of years after TR6 is released. You guys DO know TR6 is the last one they will do??------------------

Yes Sage I do know the level editors secret, and if I tell you in the forums you will deny that that is what it is. If I email you, you will tell me that I am wrong and won't tell me what you therefore, anyway you look at it only time will reveal our secrets. Hope I didn't confuse you too much this time. On the other hand you be lieing and just make some ordinary everyday level. Ya know!------------------

But this has nothing to do with any everyday level as you say..
If you know anything then I can't see why you aren't jumping at the chance to tell it..

Picky, picky, picky. Oh and perhaps you are lying and want me to tell you. Well if it's about:
Cutscenes=already done
FMV's= already done
triggers (body bag, combat)=already done
Object editing= already done
NL button= already done
D button= already doneI've played with all the features, triggers, fog, and all work, after a few atempts, but I did get them working. So I doubt you know much more then me. Oh and I am not trying to be mean or Mr. "Know it all". So if you really do know something I don't then good for you, and can't wait to see just how impressive it really is. ------------------
