I have only come to this conclusion because no one seems to know how to edit the script files so that your new wad will appear in the game start menu.

Well, I use TRWest... I used it today. I find it very useful. I guess most people just don't talk about it.

OMG I'm sorry... I've had quite an exciting day today (I got Flash) so I'm a bit out of it. Honestly I thought that was your question.

Hi Mister,

If you don't have idea how to use Trwest then i think that you did not donloaded trwest from the author web site.

go here:
http://www.jps.net/mikejj/trwest/

There is a BIG manual on how to use trwest, please, read it CAREFULLY AND SLOW, take your time, don try to learn this in 5 minutes, if you don;t undestand something then read again, if you stil have problem then ask a especific question in the forum about what you don't understand.

Most people will answer question about especific problem than explain you how to use a program from the very beggining until the end.

good luck.

Ok here is your straight question...hope you can help........I can not get my new wad into the editors script files, how do I?
I download TRWest from the above link but there is no real step by step instructions on how to do this. Everytime I use the script.bat dos tells me that the path is not found and 0 files copied

oh, thats is ease, you don't have full instaled the level editor, when you intall the TRLE select all options availibles.

Or for some reason you deleted, changed, or renamed some folders, or you put the script in a different folder.

What i can tell you?, i don't know for sure what your problem is, i saw a screenshot about you lara'muthan. i don;t know what happen, but i am sure that this not alway happen.

what i can tell you is:

When you edit a body'part, in your CAD program, you must have to keep the angle, and basicaly the long size too. it is a litle hard to explain what i mean.
Each body part have a position and orientation cordinate assigned (x,y,z) and strpix3 HAVE NOT ACCES to that info.

i suggest all you to download trviewer:
http://www.geocities.com/ev_popov/index2.html

download version 0.50 (not the newer 0.90) this is the program where strpix is inspired, and it is 100 times better.
it only open level from tr1-tr3 but with it you can see individual Lara's body parts (like strpix does) and attached to built the whole model, then you can see the tree meshes heriachi and you will learn the rules that you must keep.

If you have 3d studio max program, then you can use trviewer for extract the whole Lara'model (and any other model with full textures) and even edit the animations!, then use tr2wad for extract your edited model to a wad file.

good luck,

tp.

I edit the script and english files all the time so I can customize the object names in my levels. And I use TRwest all the time, after all TRwest is the best. TR2wad is also very very useful.

I'm sorry, but I use it all the time.

And, I'm a little lost.... What exactly does TRwest have to do with script.dat and english.dat files?

NOTHING!

TRwest was made *only* for making wad files (and please get it right, a wad file is the object file, a tom file is your compiled level info file, a tr4 file is your completed level file). It was NOT made for editing script files (although it does decompile them).

If you want a script editing program, check out TRScript at http://www.trscript.8m.net/ (note: I haven't seen heard anything about this program in awhile)
