Does happen this everytime that you edit Lara's head? or just happen once?, did happen on any wad?, are you using a custom WAD? Once I changed Lara's head for a totaly new one: the ponytail work ok. until i know, each mesh are independientily from each other, editing one will not affect the size or position for the other, (well at least always was that way in tr1-tr3 version) be sure that you did not touch the ponytail meshes (in tut1.wad they are from mesh 60-65 if i remeber well) Strpix never touch in any way the movable or the mesh tree section where is defined the composite and position for any object. However i will give a try it tomorrow at office. bw, how is working the lighting in your custom objects, they are working ok?
Turbo Pascal.

well, i only did this 1 modification, it was done in the tut1 wad first, that didnt work, the hair was weird.....when you changed lara's head, did you edit the joint part too? the lighting of my objects are usually fine, but recently, i have tried a tip about turning off all the ambient lights to zero, and adding extra lights, that seems to turn the objects black! ------------------ NOMINATED JLIBOY64 FOR THE "BEST WADMAKER AWARD" IN LIL KID'S 2001 TRLE AWARDS! >when you changed lara's head, did you edit >the joint part too? I selected the Lara's head mesh in tut1.wad, i erased all polys completaly, then i load a already head from somebody else, i did the changes then, but i take care to keep the head over the original origin. I guess that you don;t have well centered the head at the correct x,y,z position in the CAD program, maybe you moved the head a bit. >the lighting of my objects are usually fine, >but recently, i have tried a tip about >turning off all the ambient lights to zero, >and adding extra lights, that seems to turn >the objects black! Yes, there are 2 kind objects in a wad files, movables and statics objects, movables are the enemies and all objects that are built using severals meshes, statics are almost alway just one mesh. Movables are lighted using "normals" way, statics are usualy lighted using another method (don;t know how is called), but strpix light the statics using "normals", because i can't known if you are importing a movable or a static mesh. this mean that the statics objects will be lighted in the same way that the enemies, this is, they will get affected for the inicial ambient room light; if ambient room light is dark, then objetcs will be dark. bye, tp.
