I just play around with the buttons and hope for the best?

My manual is on Acrobat Reader and I don't like it one bit.

UTTERLY STUPID FACT OF THE DAY: Yesterday the window cleaner came round... I'd forgotten that I left a replica Desert Eagle on my bed, clearly visible. You should've seen the dude's face, thought I was a psycho or something!!!

Come check out my... err... half finished website

Never gonna happen I'm afraid! The only way you are gonna figure this out is if you read the manual!

I didn't read it all at once. I read first the tutorial. Started building my level, and looked things up if necessary from the advanced part.

There´s a combination of ways of learning the Editor.

First read the manual COMPLETELY.
Then start asking here in the forum all the questions the manual did not explained (there will be a lot).

No read manual. No learn editor!

I didn`t want to read the whole thing either. What I did was to print of each section in turn and learned the tutorial progressively this way. It took me two weeks to work through the manual this way and a further two weeks to produce and release a playable level. I`ve now made five and have nearly completed a sixth purely working with the editor wads. I still have to look up the manual occasionally as it`s so easy to forget even the simplest things if you haven`t done them recently. The manual is pretty poor. It`s very sketchy and in some places inaccurate. But opening the prj files of the TRLR levels in the editor lets you see how a lot was done and you can then back engineer a lot.

But you HAVE to read the manual. If you just press buttons you may get a rubbishy wee level by about 2010.

Oh... I read all of the manual at once, with a two day break before I read the 'Designing Tomb Raider' section.

I read it all at once too, because I didn;t have the LE and I downloaded the manual off the internet.

I read it over and when I got the LE I was well on my way.
