I'd forgotten that I left a replica Desert Eagle on my bed, clearly visible. You should've seen the dude's face, thought I was a psycho or something!!! Never gonna happen I'm afraid! The only way you are gonna figure this out is if you read the manual!------------------ IP: Logged |

I didn't read it all at once. I read first the tutorial. Started building my level, and looked things up if necessary from the advanced part. IP: Logged |

There´s a combination of ways of learning the Editor.First read the manual COMPLETELY. Then start asking here in the forum all the questions the manual did not explained (there will be a lot). IP: Logged |

No read manual. No learn editor!I didn`t want to read the whole thing either. What I did was to print of each section in turn and learned the tutorial progressively this way. It took me two weeks to work through the manual this way and a further two weeks to produce and release a playable level. I`ve now made five and have nearly completed a sixth purely working with the editor wads. I still have to look up the manual occasionally as it`s so easy to forget even the simplest things if you haven`t done them recently. The manual is pretty poor. It`s very sketchy and in some places inaccurate. But opening the prj files of the TRLR levels in the editor lets you see how a lot was done and you can then back engineer a lot. But you HAVE to read the manual. If you just press buttons you may get a rubbishy wee level by about 2010. ------------------ Will Gell IP: Logged |

I read it all at once too, because I didn;t have the LE and I downloaded the manual off the internet. I read it over and when I got the LE I was well on my way.
