It has been brought to my attention that some of you believe that this forum could perhaps be improved in some way. As an example, at the moment you can check a box that will send you an email notification when some one replies to your post. Well I have had a suggestion that it would be a good idea to also be notified if some one posts a reply on one of the threads that you have replied to. Only if you check the box ofcourse, or else your mail box would get too full. It would be helpfull because if you had replied to some ones post then it would be handy to know when they replied back to you. I will propose this to one of the Admins, but I think that it would help if we had everyones opinion on this. So if you can think of any other way of improving this forum then post it here and we'll see what happens.------------------

It would be nice if everybody would only post their sig once in every thread instead of everytime they post an answer.
This would lead to faster loading of threads and of course make them easier to read.

To be honest, Emma, I personaly do not use the E-mail option..... its much simpler to just look here for any replies and keep my mail free from "junk". It is however about time that the size of a person sig had a limit, same as the TR SERIES forum, because I for one am fed up with having to scroll though half a page or adverts just to read a reply. A simple link or banner will do , no???IP: Logged |

Yeah, I totally agree with you, both about the sigs and about a counter of some sort. I think there should be a limit to the size of the sig/banner, and also that it should be only put on your first post of any topic. If I get enough posts on this then I will include it in my letter to Eidos.IP: Logged |

1 more thing.... istead of asking for peoples email addresses, you should be able to click on peoples names to get the email (like with the mods at the top of the screen)IP: Logged |

I'd like to see a permanent announcement link at the top of the page which included the answers to the forum's most frequently asked questions.As we all know, a lot of questions posted have already been answered in the manual or in previous posts. If we had a FAQ we could have a more focused forum which had less questions repeating (and less time spent answering them). I have provided a few examples of frequently asked questions, please add any other questions which you'd like to see the FAQ answer: ------------ HOW DO I CREATE.. Water
Fog
Steam etc ------------ HOW DO I TRIGGER.. Doors to open
Doors to shut

I think we should add a 'last reply by' thing like many dis. board has, instead of number of replies.... You don't expect somebody remembers a number better than a person do you?!------------------

I agree Colin,
And though mine isn't big, I assume it works since no-one ever said it didn't.
I especially like the idea of "last reply by" idea.Finally, I like the recent 'cleaning house' of "nonsensicle and useless threads, how many toes does everyone have, etc...

we already have an Online Help chatbox network, which is hosted by a lot of sites now

---improvement suggestions---seeing as when everyone makes a new site, they ask for links to other TRLE sites, how about a section in the FAQ (or any other page) that contain the links from ALL TRLE sites GM or one of the mods could make a post asking for everyone's link and after a couple of weeks place the entire list on the forum another suggestion:
How about we make it a RULE that people should delete their OWN "test posts"
for example, when someone tests a new sig and is done, they should delete the entire post, because it will only clutter up the forum with useless things
I always delete my test posts myself and I think it's a good idea others should too
but DO give them time to delete it, don't go nagging after 30 minutes or something I hope these ideas are of any value
