I agree. Remember that we are the public too, we're just volunteering our time because we also care about this forum.

We all agree that there is plenty of room for OT stuff but, at the request of Eidos, it has to be kept within ‘moderation’.. This is of course partly subjective and can therefore be discussed with any of the moderators if thought to be unfair or too restrictive.

So far, some of the types of topics which have been closed are as follows:

1) Those which contain OT duplicate subject matter (these will usually be moved or a link to the duplicate thread will be given).

2) Those which contain abuse in any form (including swearing, threats of physical bodily harm, links to warez sites, pornography etc).

3) OT subject matter which is completely unrelated to the Level Editor to such an extent that it hinders the progress of learning about how to use the LE (by clogging up the forum and any search results).

4) After a sufficient period (to allow time for a successful result), any 'Just testing please ignore' type of topic for signatures and posting pictures etc which don’t include useful information about how to use the forum.

If you find anything which has been closed which doesn't fit the above then let us know and we'll re-open it.

you better close insulting posts, close blasfemeous posts, close pornographic posts or illegal posts, do not close light posts so innocent....

we are a community, I feel really to join that, I mean, so, if I find a job, or I am left by my girlfriend, I simply enjoy to share this to you, without an invasion of all the TRLE threads.

well I hate advertisement on my TV, do I have to close all the channels? they do not relate to the movie I am watching at.... Sometimes a different discussion can be taken healthy, and more funny.

you are only repressing, and repression makes people only to desire to do it.

I am not talking about the fact that I PREFER advertisement on tv rather than so bad movies....

At least the questions about TRLE are not so many. Most of them are repeated every month.

And well, there are some threads which are in the middle. If I ask you what you think about my new trle site or my new sign for the banner of my site, is it about trle or not? and who's got the right to judge? I think moderators have to be more mature, and not thinking about to justify their silly decisions only to show that they are right.

what about if I post only to thank eidos, emmaP? if I remember well it was one of your posts here.

and if I want I can search for previous posts of yours, so we have something solid to talk about.

what about if I post that I like a level? or if I suggest you to buy another game? or on eidos forum we can talk about only eidos games, after you are moderators?

what about if I talk about photoshop? it is NOT related to trle, well, not directly.

Yes, I can LEAVE if do not like all of this, as probably you are going about to suggest me.

And YES, I did it for two days, (I hope someone did notice it!!!!! ) as I was something like disgusted. And If this goes on, I will come back here only to say that my next level is ready, if someone will like to know, and for nothing else, like to post or help other people if I am able to help them.

As I am free to decide where to go on internet, I can go wherever I want, even far from this. You are NOT allowed to close our threads if YOU think they do not relate to trle. You are allowed to close all those kinds of threads I listed before, and to HELP us to comunicate to eidos, or to say something to all of us if we think anyone has to know something I don't have the "power" to cominucate, like a new nude raider site.

Sorry, I am for freedom of opinion, even if sometimes I don't like what other think. So this is my first and last post about this.

If I think that the next closed thread is closed without a good BUT REALLY good reason, I will leave simply disappearing without telling anything else, and I hope I won't be the only one.

I think this is NOT what eidos was thinking about when gave you this status.

But it only suggests me again that this decision was taken too fast, without eidos joining actually to the life of this forum, and without actually knowing us, or only interesting.
