I've placed four fountains in four corners, and placed four sounds under each of the four fountains. All the sounds have the sound "Waterfall_loop". But, when I play the game, the fountains are silent! What I mean is that THE SOUNDS ARE NOT WORKING!!!!!

I'm using Cleopatra's Palace WAD and textures.

I've looked at the original Cleopal and the sounds are EXACTLY the same as in my level: No triggers, no code bits.

WHAT'S WRONG???????

It is a possibility you are using too many sounds. I came up against the same problem myself.

Before I played with four sounds under each fountain, I played with only 1 sound under each fountain....and that didn't work either.....

You have to include that sound in the sounds.txt. The manual covers that.

I really don't understand it either. But I think that you must read that part of the manual. I will read it and get back to you. I hope that I am helping you.

Here's what you must do:
1.) Open your Sounds folder
2.) Open the SFX Creator folder
3.) Open the Sounds.txt there.
4.) Scroll down to the name Waterfall_Loop
5.) Scroll across and then you'll see some number signs with letters after them. (IE #Tu)
6.) After the last # sign press the space bar and type this: #r (r is lowercase)
7.) Exit and save changes to the text file.
8.) Press the pcwadsfx.exe and then the SFX_Example.bat after that.
9.) Insert the sounds in your level and build it and then you're done!

Note: You must turn up the SFX volume high in order to hear these waterfall sounds. They are very low sounding.

I hope that I helped you.

If you have any other questions, then just ask!

Thanx, it worked!

But, there's a problem...I PICKED THE WRONG SOUND!!!!!!!! That's why it didn't work. I wanted to use that fountain sound from Cleopatra's Palaces, and I picked "Waterfall_Loop", and got the sound problem! I would have used "Fountain_Loop" instead. That would work. But now, it works, and I have the fountain looping sound. I didn't have to post this topic. I just needed to change the sound to that fountain loop. But I have learned how to set up sounds! Thanks to ya all!
