Does anyone know how to delay the frame-rate at which an animated texture is played for?

For example, I have slow moving lava in my level. The problem is, in order to get it to move slowly, I have to create 16 individual frames. I would prefer it if I could cut this down to 8 frames to save space in the TGA texture file.

So, instead of playing 16 unique textures, I would like to play 8 textures each repeated
twice (or do whatever is required to slow the animation rate down).

I've seen this done in many TR levels previously but cannot figure out whether there is some trick I don't know about or whether it's hard-coded.

Thanks,

WBM

Thanks Kiopo, I've seen this done in a few custom levels, and I'm hoping they might spill the beans..

calling from Locker #9.
*knock. knock.*

the framerate is affected in the script

UV ROTATE

But you have to play around with it.
Notice the speed in the TR4 level compared with others.

I got it to work once, haven't test it lately.

* Hey! Turn down the music in Locker #9 - we're trying to get some sleep in here! *

Mirai,

That is one very long secret tunnel you have leading from Tokyo to Heathrow.. If I'd known that you were my next door neighbour I would have invited you to my last ceilidh!

Thank you very much for the animated textures info, it's going to make my life a lot easier and my levels more detailed.

Blessings

P.S. What's that noise, that comes from your locker about 3am every night - sounds like a seal on a motorbike or something?
