Sign up here if you want to help make the Eidos TRLE Forum's FAQ. The permanent link to the FAQ will be placed at the top of the page (take a look at the Thief Forums for an example of this). If you are good at using any aspect of the Level Editor please say what area you'd like to contribute to. For example:Creating Soundtracks, Creating Water, Lighting Techniques, Known Bugs, Outfit Creation, Game Design, Script Writing, Creating Textures, Beginner's Questions, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Triggers, Animating Textures, Crack Free Modelling, Camera Techniques, Known OCBs (Object Code Bits), Making Flipmaps, Creating Custom WADs, Editing Meshes, etc etc etc.. If you have any other Topics you'd like the FAQ to answer please add them here. Your UserName will be credited as an author of any FAQ Answer you contribute to. Think of the glory.. Any helpful hints are appreciated!

What areas would you like to write about? This is entirely in the hands of the members of this forum so you decide. If you like the idea of helping new people then you could answer frequently asked easy questions. Or, if you want to write about something which you have a particular interest in, then you could write about that. It's entirely up to you. Once we know how many people share a similar interest in any topic we can pool our ideas together and decide on the best way to present the FAQ answer for that particular topic. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the suggestions everybody! All of your ideas would be great to have in the FAQ links. I would be very happy if you want to start writing out your FAQs so that we can post them up. As soon as you have something ready - let me know and we can see if anyone wants to add anything, and then.. we publish WBM IP: Logged |

WBM, I just sended you an e-mail with a modified version of the turorials on my website. I've also added the right credits, because I didn't make all of them myself. The one by Will Gell is very handy for TRLE newbies if I may say so

WBM, Check the Tips and Tricks section at LARA'S WARDROBE and see if it's worth adding. Currently working on a mesh section as well. ------------------ LARA'S WARDROBE IT'S NOT ALL BOOTS AND BULLETS! IP: Logged |

Is TRClothes still needed? Cos if it is, I don't mind chatting about costume design although it is dead easy and everyone seems to do it now!!! I am also quite good at suggesting characters that should return for custom levels, ie. Sophia Lee (check ) etc...IP: Logged |

Hi moose562,That would be very cool - we would like to have an extensive FAQ and Help section which can always be available at the top of the page (like the "Unofficial" TRLE Network & Chatbox link). WBM IP: Logged |

To all those who contributed,I've handed over all your files to Driber who will continue to work on the 'Top of the page FAQs Links' project. Please continue to send him your tutorials and useful files so that we can create a good and permanent reference library of TRLE info. Many thanks, WBM IP: Logged |

It sounds odd but feels great![WBM's voice echoes in the empty room of his little cottage. He looks around to see if there is anyone creeping up behind him with a knife.. then he realises that it was all just a dream.. He puts his Uzzi 9mm down, picks up his printed out copy of the TRLE Manual, and blows the dust off it..] IP: Logged |

Hello Counsellor, Hmm ... are you in fact a fictional character that has come to life .... it is probably the way you refer to yourself in the third person just lately ..... or is it just your Tombraider perspective? ------------------ Technology is the knack of so arranging the world that we do not experience it. DJTch7, DKSM, Kiopo: you made some suggestions for the FAQ pages, are you still willing to go ahead on this?bob5: the link to that fog table you made doesn't appear to be working anymore, can you e-mail it to me? moose562: you mentioned you were willing to make a faq about clothes, can you take a look at tommy tomb raider's site ( http://www.angelfire.com/mi4/laras_wardrobe/wardrobe.html ) and see if you can add anything to the perminent FAQ pages about making clothes? Hi Data, WBM is indeed a fictional character who has come to life. Since he left his duties as a Moderator he has retired and bought a little cottage of his own. This has left me, a simple and foolish humanoid hiding behind an electronic curtain, to fend for my poor family alone. I do view life in the third perspective as I do not like to see the world only from my own viewpoint. I am particularly fond of Lara's camera position - I find that first person perspective is rather like trying to interact with reality from within a cardboard box. I hope but do not imagine that I have made my predicaments any clearer. WBM ------------------------ Driber, I have a simple .prj and TGA file which demonstrates all the OCB codes for the teeth spikes, It would be particularly useful for beginners who are trying to understand the orientation of placing teeth spikes and their corresponding OCBs. Would you like me to send it to be added to the FAQ? WBM IP: Logged |
