I printed out the tutorial on how to fix lara's hair when changing her head. It says be in points render mode and press CTRL+Click over each vertex and i did that but nothing happens. It says strpix will tell you at the status bar the vertex index value( I don't even now where the"status" bar is). the blue points don't even show up(like in the picture). What do I do?

each point is represented by a little square: be sure you CTRL-click inside that little square.

First make sure you have zoomed in a bit on the vertex (point). That can be done with holding Ctrl and pressing the right mouse button on the 3d window.
You will see the vertex as a green square.

Then hold Ctrl and left click on the green square.

On the very very left bottom of the whole strpix window you will see 'vertex:6' (or another number).

Oh and the big blue points like in the picture are just painted on the pic, to show everybody where the four vertexes of Lara's ponytail are.

I hope this helped,
Bart
