Been gone a couple of months. Just checked in again and noticed things quieted down pretty good. Kudos to the moderators!

Been thinking about the problems people have had with the level editor. Things that make it crash, limitations, etc. I know alot of people have had problems, and often solve them eventually. It would be nice if all those problems and their solutions could be recorded in one place, kind of like a tutorial, or bug report. It would help people avoid these problems, or fix them if they run into it.

I've been working on the format of PRJ files, and am getting pretty close to a complete description. I'll be writing a program to try to fix corrupt PRJ files. Having information about limits people have run into would help alot. Having some corrupt project files to test with would also help. I already have 2, one I was able to fix for someone, one I could not. Sorry ekim

Anyway, how about the ideas?

1) Compile a list of bugs, limitations, etc.
2) Send me some corrupt project files.

Nobody thinks compiling a list of bugs and limitations is a good idea?

aktrekker,

That is an excellent idea - would you mind if we put your list in the Eidos forum's permanent FAQ (to be placed at the top of the page)? See the following for more details:

I don't have a list yet. I haven't even finished a custom level so far. To make things worse, I had to reload my machine recently, and lost all the levels I have started, textures I downloaded, etc.

If anyone who has done some levels and run into problems would email me with the problem and their solution, I will compile the list. The best problems would be those not in the manual.

I suppose I could search thru the entire forum looking for things like this. It could take awhile
