to tomb raider fan: as you can see, this level is still in VERY rough stage, there's alot of textureing and retextureing to be done, this game will be released all together in a few monthsto jackperkins, yes, i used rhino ------------------

Nice one!!! The reflected rooms are great, but why are some of the reflected pillars a different colour to the ones above??? I love the new lara by the way ------------------

well, i havent textured the rooms or the objects properly yet, as you can see it's alot of work making reflected objects, i dunno if ill have enough room for all of them objects.......... ------------------

Jliboy, With the mirror effects, in the Script Iam using a custom wad, building from the ground up and I renamed them to tut1, could I still do mirror effects if the objects arent in the script?IP: Logged |

verios, i think you are mistaken, i made those mirror objects, you cant just edit the script to get an actual mirror effect, mirrors can only be used west-east, not up and down...this level is made by using transparent floor with a flipped room underneath------------------

Its as simple as making a water room, but the with a floor texture instead of water 
The hard part is making the reflected objects, it'd be so much easier if you could turn em upside down in the editor!! ------------------

Hey jliboy you can put a static objects in a slot like let's say breakable bike wall. the problem is it won't be static right? well choose a object you want her to walk on( a table or something) then raise the floor under the object(make sure the objects is in the floor) then paint the floor that covers the object clear. Then put a room under the floor and make a door then put toggle_opacity on and paint it double sided. Voila!! YOu have yourself a static walk on object. willedmat, i am flattered you tried to help me, but your suggestion got ALOT of flaws 1. you cant replace movables with statics in trwest 2. you can use the "edit object" function to make the object walkable, if you just raise the floor under it then paint it transparent, there will be a black hole in the ground! ------------------

The black hole problem is easily fixable. First make a room(3x3) and highlight the room and make a door to the bottom of the room with the object. Then put toggle opacity and paint it doublesided. If you want an example I can send you the dining room from lara's house. I made it so she can walk on the table. IP: Logged |

And for the Bike wall. Use TRWEST to get the bike wall into your wad from the city wad. Use strpix to export your object dxf file then replace the bike wall dxf with your dxf. It only works with one dxf. So if your object is three different dxf files it won't work.IP: Logged |

1. i told you, the edit object thing in the level editor does the same thing as you are trying to do, it makes objects walkable with a few clicks of buttons2. i can replace movables if i want in strpix, but i cant just use trwest to move it ------------------

Why dont you just make the object with a mirror on the bottom... metaseqouia has a feature with mirrors... try it... it wont take up any more object slots ------------------
