I´ve took some air and decided to take a look at what´s wrong with my project.

The problem first appeared when I added a CD track, after getting rid of a texture memory problem. The textures were ok but the game crashed to desktop when using the look key or runing through the room. I removed the trigger and the problem continued.

I took an earlier version of the prj and output the WAD for testing. Well, it´s still crashing to desktop if you run around too much in the big room. So what is it now?

Hi Fabio, you have a really nasty problem there. If you really cant fix it i will take a look at it if you want. You have to send me the whole wad and project and texture set ofcourse. Proberly i wont have a solution but you never know. My level had many crashes because of it's size and texture info and to many objects in the wad. I fixed it all by myself. It would be sad to see all your work go in the trashcan...

Phabius...
I had the same kind of problem. The editor kept crashing when I was entering a large area made up of stacked rooms. I figured out that by deleting one unnecessary room (sky for instance) the game was not crashing anymore. Do you have wide spaces made of many stacked room in your level?

The problem usually happens in a set of four stacked rooms, all about 18x18 squares. I had a room as big as this one in my first level and had no problems. And there are not so many lights in these rooms as you may think. I did not have the chance to begin placing lights yet.

Problem is, it was not happening before, and the rooms were already there. It all began when I aparently reached the famous Texture Memory Limit (as I´m very perfectionist with textures and lights). But it was not crashing, just some textures disappeared or were shown wrong. I deleted some object columns and reshaped some of the other rooms to free memory, and it was ok then. The crasinhg began when I added a CD trigger in this big set of rooms. Then I removed it and the problem remains the same.

This may seem like a simple thing, and please do not believe that I think you are stupid, but you could check that the CD track you are calling is actually there, and if it is, has it become corrupt (try playing the file on its own).
If this is not the case, I apologise for my suggestion, and hope that a solution is forthcoming.

Yes, the file is there and it´s not corrupted. I´ve used it in another level too.
