when i play my level (angkor wat wad)which i created myself the water textures (running water) are black and when lara looks she turns black aswell i will post a picture when i get the chance

any help appreciated

Where did you get the wad from? Because I got mine from the Eidos site and in the "readme" file it says that you have to use the prj template that comes with it or the water textures will be messed up.
