can you put the mirror effect (just to reflect lara) on 3d objects or can it only be put on walls and if so how do you place the mirror effect

no, you cant make objects mirroring lara, and you can only make wall mirrors east-west

Have a look at the manul, page 74

It says you mirro the whole room - which makes sense if youu think about it.

If you're still stuck I 'll make a smal PRJ file & TOM file for you as an example.

I dont want to mirror the whole room i just want laras reflection. I want a single 1x1 wall that looks like its made out of chrome shiny metal so when lara passes it it reflects her

Actually that's not quite true.
Certain Textures can make Objects reflect!
I'll admit you'd have a hard time getting Lara to reflect off of it..
But none the less it is possible.
