Could you not just delete the offending posts instead of starting a new thread ?
It would seem like the logical thing to do, as I am sure that hteS would not mind, I certainly would not.

I did not want to just delete the OT thread because it is the wish of all the mods and everyone else in this forum that we carry on to have a thread for OT posts. So seeing as the last one became too large I am simply starting a new one. It seems that everyone fought to have the right to post OT stuff, and now that they have that right you are complaining about it?

Hi Data,

It's too time-consuming to go through all of the posts and decide which one should stay or go. It's easier if we just have one big thread that holds whatever people want to post in it.

It was just a size problem that developed in the first OT thread - the posts were GIGANTIC. If you have any suggestions, or a memory storage device of some sort which we could have, then we would be most grateful. It is fairly primitive technology that we use here on Earth.

Couldn't you have just deleted the two or three posts that were gigantic! And besides, we are just letting the frustration out in that thread, soon we will accept the freedom to post in that thread and things will become more civilised!

What the heck is wrong with you guys? This is simple ok? The last OT thread got too big, so I closed it and opened a new OT thread. If I had of deleted the big posts then it would have only caused even more problems than this is now. There is nothing left to discuss, case closed.
