I have a problem concerning the motorbike and sound. It appears that the motorbike will crash the game when you get on it if previously in the level any kind of sound was triggered using the CD trigger. Is there any way to prevent this? It is really important because of the sections of dialogue in the level.

does it crash WHILE that audio file is still playing? or you previously add a SOUND EFFECT?

No, an audio file has been played, has finished, and later in the level, a motor bike is found. When you get on it, it crashes just as the vroom sound is supposed to begin. It crashes when both audio or sound files are before it, but it doesn't crash when audio files are triggered while on it.

have you changed some sound effects?

if not, have you imported the bike from another wad with TRWest?

TRWest (if I remember well) saves even the file.SAM file which is the file which lists all the effects your wad is going to play....

so, in that file you should have listed rightly the sound for the animation of the bike.

Once I imported an object but I build a wad from different .sam files, so I had that my objects had NOT their sounds...

if you did something like that, or builded a wad with TRWest which hadn't ALL the right ten files, you could get the problem you say.

Try substituting the .sam file of your wad. If it works (even if you do not have the bike sounds or some other object sound) well, I think we got the solution

well substituting that file can make your wad or the level to crash, so after that solution, you can try importing again the bike (even the vehicle extra animation, only to be sure you have the right one....)

if you changed your Lara, importing that animation again could be a little bit hard, but we can meet here

I have not changed the wad, it is the new city wad, but I have custom audio files.

try triggering normal audio files.

Or changing the .sam file with the city revised wav. (but maybe you will lose some other sound)

so with trwest substitute the bike and the vehicle extra from the revised city to your wad (rename your wad or keep a security copy)
