I've got a new computer and trle goes toooooooooooooo fast. If I press the up bottom for a small time, the room is rotated 2 times. Can you slow the editor down?

I noticed the same thing when I upgraded my system. Also it doesn`t like 32bit colour in the editor seemingly as I cannot view the textures in a room and have the "Draw Doors" active. It`s a bit of a pain but remember this editor was designed for older systems and not new 1ghz+ machines with 32bit colour etc..

But you get used to it. I don`t notice the speed thing too much now. You just have to be careful. You could try the settings of your keyboard though.

I can only suggest booting up your Personal Computer with a .0045739 sec time differential. You would then notice a slower rotational pull toward the axis of the top left hand corner of the three dimensional view portal.
If this fails; short, sharp stabbing motions with the index finger usually does the trick.

What´s the complaining about?

When I first tried the Editor, it was on a Pentium II 300 mHz. I had to wait a day or two (pressing the arrow buttons) to see the other side of a textured and objects filled room!

On my Pentium III 550 mHz it runs fine.

We have a 1.2 Ghz machine in our recording studio, but my partner suddenly began hating TR (after I began spending more time with it than with recording) and he doesn´t want anything of the kind installed in that computer...

But I´ll wait a lonely night in the studio and I´ll test it...

Yep I`m running a 1.2ghz Athlon and have exactly the same problem. The speed doesn`t bother me but the draw doors problem does. I though it was maybe cos I was running in 32bit now on a new card. I`m learning to live with it though.

All you'd have to do to correct the 32 bit problem is change the colour depth on your screen setup. Right click on the desktop, then click on the "settings" tab, and change the screen depth from the drop down box and hit "Apply". Simple.

No I`ve tried that. Seems it isn`t the cause of the problem. It was fine on my old Voodoo and PII 350 but on the GeForce and 1.2 Athlon you cannot view textures while in Draw Doors mode.

Mine's fine - a bit fast when turning an individual room, a noticable slowdown with draw doors on, but nothing to speak of. I would have thought the program would not be built upon raw computer speed to rotate, but rather on a timer measuring separate scanned circuit routines (like the clock in windows)to give the rotation an actual time limit - it takes one second to turn the room 360 degrees, for instance. Shoddy job, Core.

It is not a Windows program. It is a DOS program. Makes alot of difference in how it works.
