hi

I just feel the joystick is more suited to other games.

Keyboard. I just can't get used to TR on a joystick or a PSX controller!

Thought it would be fun to use a joystick on TR : after two minutes, I went back to the ol' keyboard...
Long live to the keyboard!

Like your keyboard Conan

I recently bought a nice little convertor which allows you to use a PSX or N64 controller on your PC via your USB port.

It's useful for letting people play your levels if they have only ever played TR on a PSX and aren't comfortable with a keyboard.

If anyone is interested in buying one - check out eBay (search for "PSX N64 USB convert").

I´m also a MS Combat Flitght Simulator 1 & 2 addicted, so I tried to use the joystick for TR once. It´s weird!

Yes, keyboard is the best option.

I did not try gamepads yet, but it may be comfortable too.

Joysticks? Never!

GAME PADS RULE - Personally I have a pzx and the thought of using a keyboard or a joysick instead of a pad was a freakishly flawed and unnnatural thing to do I mean run jump on a box jump reverse guns shoot sprint (within 10 seconds without making a mistake) inventory then pause to get your breath back with a Keyboard

Now I know that all you PC'ers and the half life generation (pun) need to use the keyboard because a joystick dont cut the mustard I can understand but me Ive been brainwashed / trained to use the glorious psx pad so

I went and bought me a PSX-PC converter Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahahahaha!

With the keyboard, all the buttons are under a finger at all times, so you can do anything at all, the only limiting factor is the animation time - (lara has to finish getting up from that long drop before you can run foreward) its much faster.

I think Gamepads feel more like toys than controlers.

I made a PSX-->Pc adapter my self.
Its very easy to make and if you HAVE to use a pad
the PSX-pad is simply the best

The convertor, WBM is reffering,is a good solution too. http://www.smartjoy.com

I used to use a gamepad, but when it broke I ended up using the keyboard. I'd say the keyboard is easier to use (apart from when U miss the alt key and hit the windows key instead!)

Why not keyboard and mouse combi? It works great in Doom, Duke Nukem..etc.. Fast and precise. I hope Core would put that in future TR.
