Geckokid, a second plane just flew into the second tower of the building, I actually saw the plane hit the tower on tv, it was absolutely horrific.It looks like terrorism, and the planes are possibly 100 seater planes...I hope to god they hadn't been hijacked and a lot of innocent lives have been killed.

One of the planes is a huge Boeing 767, meaning it carries 767 people and unfortunately it's a good likelihood that it was full of passengers, that took off from Boston.The second may have been a smaller plane. So far there are 6 reported deaths and over 1000 injured.

This is insane! A plane or helicopter has now flown into the Pentagon. Oh my god, what are they going to attack next!!! They are evacuating the White House, and they have put a halt to any planes across America taking off! [This message has been edited by Aqua Stylish (edited 09-11-2001).]

 The FBI is investigating reports a Palestinian terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the World Trade Centre crashes. Two airliners have smashed into the New York building within minutes of each other, causing hundreds of casualties. The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine has reportedly carried out the atrocity. Two United Airlines jets, one a Boeing 737, had earlier been hijacked, according to reports. Eyewitnesses say the aircraft appear to have been deliberately flown into the landmark building's twin 110-storey towers. Witnesses were just describing the horror of the first impact when another passenger plane appeared from the south smashing into the second tower as smoke and flames billowed from the first tower. CNN showed live coverage of the second crash, which happened just before 9am local time. US officials say the horrifying incident appears to be a terrorist attack

Part of the second tower has collapsed!Hopefully there were no bystanders and police down below but I'm sure that would have killed dozens more! This is catastrophic!

There's an unconfirmed report that another plane already in the air has been hijacked and may be heading in the direction of the Pentagon!Around 100 floors of the second tower have just collapsed!!! This is scary, there is talk of a 747 on it's way to Washington, and they have just said that there are more planes unacounted for. Which means that this may not be over!

2 of the 4 planes that have so far crashed were the Boeing 767 in the World Trade Center that had 69 people aboard, and a Boeing 757 that crashed near Pittsburgh that had 64 people aboard it.And now there is reports of a bomb or bombs in a school close to the Trade Center. The President says this should be thought of as declairing war!!
And it's not just the world trade center!
They are hitting all over!
They also hit the Pentagon!

I have seen one of the most distressing sights I have ever seen, a camera crew picked up quite close up film of people hanging out of windows in the wrecked but still standing towers waving white pieces of paper or shirts trying to attract attention, and all this time I'm watching I have already seen these towers fall to the ground and these people that are still alive in the film have in fact fallen to their deaths minutes later....I am heartbroken.

Toko maybe ur just young and naive but this sort of tradgey effects millions of people all over the world and your comments like "I hope they dont come near us" and "I'm glad I dont live near a city" are tasteless and inappropriate. I can see 1 Canada Square (the big tower in the middle of Canary Wharf for non-locals) from my bedroom window and can't hear myself think for all the sirens atm but my thoughts are with the people who have lost friends and family or are going spare cos they dont know whether their loved ones are alive or dead. Maybe you should try some compassion.

In Canada, all planes that would have leaved for the States have been grounded. All main airports have been evacuated.
Plus all in-country flights have been cancelled.
The downtown/business areas of all main cities have been evacuated.
And I just noted that I have in the past hour seen NO airplane in the air over the city and I work under the main approach for Dorval International airport in Montreal.I do not give a rat's *** for the lives of those who did that.
Can you imagine the millions of dollars still in the hands of extremely rich and extremely connected families who just lost sons and daughters, uncles and on and on... in that tower crash?
I can. They are living on borrowed time from now on.
