From now on I am now Stevo8710. I finally got my own screen name(I was using my fathers). Yes I'm still working on the New York level(which will include the Twin towers). The bad thing is I have to start my posts all over. Darn! Oh well. So I don't get this thread closed I will ask a tomb raider related question - Is there a way to make lara reflect? I can make objects reflect and waterfalls to. But is there a way to make lara reflect? It doesn't look very realistic when the objects reflect and she doesn't.IP: Logged |

Lara should cast a reflection - like in a mirror- this was used to greta effect in a level (doh can't remember the name - sure someone will) where she was in the amusemnt arcade - with a reflected room with an invisible crossbow and floor spikes. She may not reflect off some other shiny surfaces and if this is the case I suspect it is to do with ther graphics overhead of rendering the scene. If I've missed the point completely feel free to clarify - or if someone knows better please enlighten us both Conan

You can reflect Lara in walls, but not floors.AFAIK..... ------------------ I'm not dyslexic, I just type too fast... IP: Logged |

I know you can in walls but people have been making "upside down" objects that look like it reflects from the floor. Has anyone figured out how to make lara reflect by making here upside down then connecting it to the right side up lara. Or is this an impossible task because of the different meshes?IP: Logged |

I have played a level with a second Lara that seemed to move when the regular Lara did (but in the opposite direction). I don't remember who made the level. It might be possible to do this. It would be pretty cool if someone could figure it out.

hmm... i was thinkin, the mirror in the costal level is an object, and maybe someone could rotate it so it goes on the floor. altough you'd have to put a lot of mirrors, this is the only way i think i'tll work.IP: Logged |
