The question:

How do I trigger a pickup? First, the pickup with "invisible" checked should not be pickup-able. When you solve a puzzle, the pickup should be visible and pickup-able.

The problem

The torch object (not the flame) from the Catacombs, seem to have a wierd collision when moved to my WAD. Lara can jump through the torch, but under it, there's some sort of invisible barrier, but it doesn't cover the whole square, like an invisible pillar.

Any solutions?

Did ya know that Lara can breathe under water?

Well just check pickup in the object and trigger it as normal that should work

It's not the thing when you trigger an event from a pickup. It's the pickup object (Pharos Knot in this level) that should be triggered so it become visible, so you can be able to pick it up.

If I remember correctly, pickups behave just like puzzles....

Remember the one where you had to move things to the right place on the floor to open the door....

To the best of my knowledge, triggered pickups are done the same way with the OCB number buttons..

Hope I'm telling you this right - anyone know better - feel free to enlighten me

Using tut1 wad

Place puzzle item 6 on floor in room - Hand of Orion - OCB left at defaults

Place puzzle hole 6 on wall in room - Hole for same - OCB left at defaults

Place triggerer for puzzle hole 6 on floor square in front of puzzle hole

and set OCB type to Key and check OCB 12345 on

Place shotgun item on floor and set OCB to invisible - other OCB left at defaults

Place trigger for shotgun on same floor tile as triggerer from puzzle hole
and check OCB 12345 on

shotgun invisible until Hand of Orion placed in hole!!

Tada!!!!

It didn't work.

(Remember that it's the Pharos Knot that I want to trigger)

I have placed four Pharos Pillars, four key holes for Pharos Pillar, triggered the holes with "key" checked, splitted them with OCB 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5, triggered the Pharos Knot on all four squares with the key holes.

...

(IDEA!!!)

I COULD PLACE SPIKES ON THE SQUARE WITH THE PHAROS KNOT!!!! I DIDN'T THINK OF THAT!!!! YAAAAHOOOOO!!!!
