Until now, I have not said anything in public about my feelings regarding this event. The day it happened I was unable to comprehend that the world had changed forever. I was unable to feel anything but a terrible darkness descending on the horizon of the future.Now, I feel that it is time to look at things in a positive light. I have become more fond of things that I took for granted before. It is almost easier to be happy in these times ahead of us because it is easier to appreciate how precious it is to have the luxury of life itself. When those planes found their targets, the world suddenly woke up and realised that human suffering and human stupidity go hand-in-hand. If we are ever to learn compassion we must first learn to feel pain. Until we begin to step outside of our own seemingly important views, we will not experience humility. In this time when the world prepares to embark on a very long journey, we must all be able to look to each other for support. Not to join hands in a war of beliefs, but to join hands in the hope that it will give us the strength to overcome our inability to see beyond ourselves. As the proverbial old bloke on the mountain once said to a man who was trying to teach him to understand his views, "Please do not be angry with me for not allowing you to make me into a copy of yourself." On the day this happend my stephdaddy and my mother where married for 3 years.
We where broken that day.
Exactly when i was watching tv at 1545(dutch time) My Tv fell out two seconds, wierd but then i could sense already something happend.
I'm not happy that this happend, anybody who is happy Can (i can't say this).
But i hope all the victims are in heaven now.I'm still having English lessons. If i'm not wrong thrust means pushing right.
And trust means fate or some thing.
right.
Anyhow.
I'm sorry for the families of the victims. ------------------

I wrote this poem about the attacks on America:Judy can't celebrate her daughters birthday, Craig's first day wasn't supposed to be that way, Sarah and Joanne loved their mam who worked on the 53rd floor by the desk of Haben who was getting married and having a baby, that was going to be called Liberty. Somewhere in the world there was an evil bitter soul, that liked to hurt and control. He ordered his wolves to hunt the innocent, not thinking what it all meant. Firey anger exploded upon the civilized world, followed by a blinding cloud of confusion and disbelief. Streets were silenced, faces were still, faith unravelled, withered people's will. Then amongst the smoke emerged a figure, smiling through tears.
There was Haben and her newborn; she passed the baby to the shattered soul sitting on the street and said:
"This is our new found freedom, stronger than before, with eyes of tomorrow that can clean up today liberty will and always has shown the way" Lara .S. +++ IP: Logged |

I just want to say, the support we're getting from you guys in England and everywhere else is AMAZING!! It means a tremendous amount to all of us in NYC, and I have to say THANK YOU!!!!!I was working in Manhattan on the morning when it happened (fortunately, not too close!) Having to evacuate the city was a surreal experience. Thanks again to everyone for your thoughts and concerns... you don't know how much it helped all of us here.
