i recently made a custom wad with trwest and saved it in My DOCUMENTS. i called it Return. it has the files: SAM, SWD, WAD, WAS and the SFX file. I created a TOM, CD and the TXT file simply by outputting the wad and saving it in a different filename and it then created the 3 new files (cd, txt and the tom file)

i went on the sound recorder on the start/ programs/accessories and entertainment. i opened up a tune from trc (the vci theme music) and saved it in the audio folder as 001. (at this stage all of my custom wad files are in the graphics/wads folder.)

i opened up the script.txt and highlighted the city block (i did this randomally, or do you have to copy a certain block?) and i copyed the city and pasted it at the end of the script.txt.

I then changed the Name= to Name= The VCI Return. i went down to the Level= and changed it to Level= Return,001

I then saved the script.txt and went on to the english.txt and changed the alexandria level to The VCI Return and saved it.

i then used easylife to perform the dos thing. I then went into the editor and just did a crapy room with my VCI Tga and the custom wad.

then i convert it and go on to the game. it says The VCI Return at the bottom of the select level screen. Good start right? but i click on it and it loads up. but iam suprised.

there is no background music and the tga is completely different to the way i applyed them.

did i do something wrong? why isn't there no background music and why is the tga set completely different??? i wrote the 001 in the script and why the **** is there no tga set in the level???

please answer iam stuck

In the script.txt, for your level stuff, I hope you set Level=DATA\Return,001

In what you typed above, you left off the DATA\ part. Was that a mistake?
As for the music, try making it 100 or higher instead of 001.
