i have made a room which is 3x6 and another room which is the same. i have connected both of the rooms together which will reveal a 3x6 room on top and another room underneath it (thats the water room). I have got one of them transparent tga tile and applyed it to the floor. when i play it lara just falls through the tga tile and into the water. i want lara to walk on the tga tile with the water room underneath her feet. How do i do it

i know it's an easy question but i need help please.

ps... is it something to do with the transparent and double sided thing???

The normal way to make a water room is explained reasonably clearly in the manual.

The water surface is at the boundary between the floor of the upper room and the ceiling of the lower

Where you create this doorway you use the toggle opacity 2 and then use a double side and transparent to apply the water textures to the doorway.

Lara will fall through the doorway and into the water.

The lower room has the W switch applied to cause her to do her swimming animation

The upper room may have the R switch applied to cause reflection at the water surface.

In order for lara to walk on the water you would need to use toggle opacity NOT toggle opacity 2

She would then walk on the water surface rather than falling in....

But you would be best to use a texture that visually suggests Ice-

To my knowledge there has, historically, been only one person who could actually walk on water!

If you want lara to walk on a glass-like floor and see a working water room below which could be subsequently accessed you would actually need 3 rooms stacked.

If I've missed the point - please clarify

If you're stuck / can't acheive it I'll build a simple level and post it and instructions either via email or on my web-site

If you want to chat about it I'm on MSN

Hope this helps
