Hi Turbo Pascal:I read http://pub19.ezboard.com/ftreditingzonefrm2.showMessage?topicID=321.topic and 005385.html etc I was so impressed that I had to write to you I do system / software testing, teach, write tutorials / user manuals etc for a living. I specialise in turning techno-babble into user friendly documentation. I'm between contracts at the moment and would be glad to help out. If you'll let me have the program and any rough notes etc. I'll build some How to pages etc for you, or at the very least help ... If you have 'broken English' notes etc, I'll work them up into gramtically correct English for you. Dave (a.k.a. Ted Swippet / Conan the Barbarian) IP: Logged |

About up coming Treditor3d beta.- 1: I have ready the beta version that i will realease, but i am unable to realease it this octuber 1 due to a documentation problem, check this post for details: http://pub19.ezboard.com/ftreditingzonefrm2.showMessage?topicID=321.topic I am so sorry for the delay. - 2: I hope that all you are not missunderstanding what Treditor3d beta is. *This IS NOT A TOOL FOR BE USED WITH THE OFICIAL LEVEL EDITOR. * This will not allow you to combine all objects from all Tr version in your TR4 levels built with the Oficial editor, (or with mine). -3: This editor is used for build Levels for all different tomb raider version (*.phd, *.tub Tr2,tr3,tr4 and TRc) and they MUST HAVE TO BE PLAYED with the apropiate tomb raider engine (tomb.exe, tomb2.exe, tomb3.exe tomb4.exe and Pctomb5.exe) using a patched version that let you run the game from hard disk. - 4: This is a incomplete editor, mean that all 100% features ARE NOT IMPLEMENTED YET, main missing features are automatic light and puting visual items/triggers, this have to be done using TRitem or my propetary Trscripting Languaje, and for lighting using RView or Tritem, however these features are planed to be included very soon. - 5: If you are confortable using the oficial level editor and you are confortable building TR4 last revelation levels, then you don't need to use my level editor, but if you want to build TR1-Tr3 and TRc levels, then try my editor. For especific features and for know what you can do and what you can't, please wait until the beta version is realeased. If you are still interested then stay tuned at vagrant's world at: http://home.acadia.net/userpages/vagrant/notice.html Thank you very much.
Turbo Pascal.

Turbos' editor still looks really promising to me. If we can make TR1-3 ,and TRC levels, that's still something the current editor can't do.I'm sure we'll still be able to share these levels in the same way we do now , so it's not such a loss that it's not compatable with the current editor, but a HUGE bonus. Will be released (with manual or not) this October 15. Meanwhile search on internet a patched tomb?.exe that let you play your custom levels from hard disk. Also download the Rview (availible now) complement program that is used for apply lights, make a better texturing work, and even be able to export the room to DXF file for be retoched with a CAD program.
