I'm trying to make a train level and I got it so she dies the rolling animation for the train but I have been trying to get it so the textures move and the objects move but it I can't get it to work. The textures aren't used in animation ranges so there is a button or script command that makes it so it moves but I have been testing a whole bunch of different things and no results so far. Does any one know how to do this? I really need help here!

Hmmm, a suggestion, someone found a new method of scrolling recently by setting something in the script file. Instead of flipping tiles, it actually scrolls the textures. If you use that it might make the train LOOK like it is moving.

Making objects move is another problem. I have no idea how to do that.

I haven't made a train level or got the WAD, but I think it's an animating object with mountains and signs that moves of you trigger it.

Yes Pwhirl I got your wad. No the mountains aren't animating objects and I did put Train= ENABLED in the script but that just makes it so the screen is bumpy(as if she was on a train) and when she hits the lowest floor she dies. But that doesn't make it look like she's moveing.Hmmmm.....

UVRotate isn't working. I want the animation range to be just one texture. But it's not doing it.

    I have found something:

Copy EVERYTHING of Desert Railroad from the tr4 script into your script. Make a level with a 20x20 room and put Lara in the middle. Raise the square under Lara 1 click. Load in the train WAD into your level. Output it.

Now, you'll see moving mountains in your level! But there are no rail textures, they are replaced with parts of Lara, and they doesn't move. But this is one step into train editing!

for the textures you must put them as the FIRST textures of your TGA, then try creating an animation range with only ONE texture (the rail road, then the sand, then the grass, etc etc....)

the script line for this kind of animation is the UVrotate.....

BUT WHAT the resetHUB line is for??????

I didn't work. You see I retextured the mountains to look like green hills so I put them in different slots. Also I think to get them to move it has to be a option in edit object. I wonder....

Anyone getting close? I think I am. When Lara dies she goes outta the screen and then thers is just empty space and the horizon. But every three seconds a mountain goes by. Maybe you have to connect the rooms at certain sides(like the Norh,South,East, West). The textures move towards the east. Maybe that has to do with something. Also the train tracks won't scroll. The grass does but the train tracks don't. Why?

What u have to do, is get into 2D Map option and place a room (recommended to be 5 X whatever, place it IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WHITE AREA, and texture the room withwhite squares at the sides of the room and raise the middle 3 X whatever squares and texture like a train. Try that. It worked for me.
